OUR STORY
MSAFN started with 3 forensic nurses who are committed to seeing change in forensic patient care in Mississippi. This is a growing group that is dedicated to providing evidence based care to those who are victim of trauma. MSAFN sets the standard of care for patients who have been sexually assaulted. This standard of care includes updates to the sample collection kit, updating policy, and training as it pertains to the sample collection kit. Group membership is only offered to certified SANEs, however we are a resource for all SANEs and those who are working with these patients to provide care.
